Earlier this month, the TC was delighted to host paleontologist Dr. Walter Joyce and PhD student Léa Girard from the University of Fribourg Switzerland and facilitate their use of the Pritchard Collection for research. The visit marks a new chapter for the collection since it was incorporated into the TC nearly two years ago.
Eric Goode, Dr. Peter Pritchard (posthumous) and the Turtle Conservancy were honored by the United Nations this past month, receiving the Legacy Award at the 2022 Ambassador’s Ball. Today we honor the memory of Peter C.H. Pritchard, an iconic giant in our community—one of the founding fathers of turtle and tortoise conservation, who passed away February 25 at the age of 76 after a long illness.
